The Kempinski Ishtar is arguably the best hotel in Jordan. Several swimming pools and a lazy river cascade down from the main building to the shores of the Dead Sea. Chic bars and lounges display sharp, modern design and the four restaurants offer a range of food from casual grills through to fine Asian dining. The rooms are modern and luxurious, with Asian influences; all of the rooms are very spacious and enjoy views over the Dead Sea, and are found in the main building and dotted through the resort area. There is an excellent spa, one of the finest in the Middle East, and a fitness centre, as well as the numerous pools to cool off it. For rounding off a trip with a bit of resort luxury, it is hard to beat the Kempinski Ishtar.
